Canada not an option? Trudeau seemingly wants to let anyone and everyone in. That is, unless of course you have a good work ethic, money, or any knowledge in general...

Well, I think Canada is beautiful and love traveling with him as much as possible...but my children are in the US and it would be too hard for me emotionally. Maybe we will retire in Canada though.

I wish I could thank this 500 times. Nothing could be closer to the truth.gokiddogo Thanks this.

When we brought my wife's truck to Michigan, we went to the Secretary of State (DMV) to get a temporary title for import. When it arrived in the mail, it was just a regular Michigan title... sweet! We just brought it over, insured it, got a plate, that was it. No speedometer change, no EPA certification, none of that BS.
Don't know if that would still work, but you could try.Chickadee Thanks this. -
Thanks Lil! So this was a commercial vehicle or a pickup truck?
-
It was a pickup truck. But a title is a title... if they'll slip up and give you a real one, the only thing you'd need to do is pay the sales tax, 2290, get insurance and a base plate.
Now you may run into issues on a big truck for IFTA if the odometer reads in kilometers. Unless it's digital and can do either. -
The odometer reads in miles. It is an older FL Columbia. I appreciate your help and will talk to my DMV. Thanks again!
-
That's funny, but what luck. Hope your wife made out without too much injury.

Just sell the truck to yourself or your DBA, or LLC than pay yourself to deliver truck to the USA. It may work?
