Thanks for your reply! It does nothing because the Truck GPS splash screen is as far as it goes. That’s when it says Truck GPS isn’t responding. Only thing that works are actually more of the android functions.

I need to get with you on these files ASAP
i checked through all the past ones and i still don't see any mention as to what 2 files i need to send you and where they are exactly.
Some of my folders seem to be locked. -
Mark, I am in need of your help sir. I have a TND 720 that I've had for several years now. The issue that I've had with it for a couple of years now is when you get to "working it" it will crash. I've sent it in twice now to be fixed and still have the issue. When you turn the unit on it takes it at least 10 mins to load the map. The unit will also now randomly crash running down the road. When this happens it also takes at least 10 mins to reload the map. It has always acted like it was running out of processor or ram. Today for the first time after it crashed I got a "system memory very low" warning. So it appears that my long held assumption is correct. I have a class 10 8gb SD card in it so the memory and speed there should not be an issue. I do however have 140 or so saved trails. But the issue started well before I had that many saved. I take it in the house every 2 months or so update it and run the diag/repair on it. it almost always finds something wrong. I actually paid attention this last time (about a month ago) to what file was actually broken. As I recall it was usergps.ini, I don't know of that helps at all.

Mark Kling and Marl Thank this. -
I have some feedback for the TND 740...
After talking with tech support today for my issue of the Truck GPS not responding. It was a software issue and I had to invoke the android recovery tools. My frozen splash screen issue has been resolved. To do this on the TND 740, do the following:
1. Power off the unit
2. Press and hold the Home and Power buttons until the unit turns on
3. Select Android Recovery and press Volume Down button to launch
4. Wait for the dead android robot screen
5. Press and hold Home and Volume Down button and while holding those two, press Volume Up.
This should then load the screen with recovery options for the TND 740!Last edited: Jan 10, 2018

Thanks Mark, I might have found the problem. It looks like my card is a HC. I used to have a old class 2 2gb in it a couple of years ago and thought it being so slow was the problem. Here's a link to what I have in it currently:

Once you have the card, you will have to create a NaviMaps folder on the inside storage of the 720.. DO NOT move any files from the SD Card. I will have to send you an older 0.sdl file to "fake" the dock into thinking you need newer maps. It will download again to the SD Card and delete the internal NaviMaps folder.
Send me your E-Mail in a Conversation. The file is very small.
Thanks,
Mark
