I have my first DOT Inspection tomorrow. I am happy at some future point to try to diagnose the problem, the ABS light Intermittently goes on and off, seems to be without reason. I have to pass this DOT Inspection and i should pass it only thing that bothers me is the ABS Warning light randomally popping up on the dash cluster display. I would like to disable it, any advise on the best way to do so temporarily? Truck is a 2002 Freightliner FLD with a C10 motor.
any advise on how to disable the "ABS Warning" light on a 2002 FLD Freightliner?

I good inspector will watch when the key is turned on, that the abs lights come on and then go off. This is why I like pre 1997 trucks. Fixing that light can be expensive. Good luck.

taking it to a TA on purpose... keeping fingers crossed that those are typically not home to the "good inspectors"... Either way i would like to go into this by disabling the light. Yes the repair would be a total ripoff. Also i live 1 hour away from the inspection site (this new company only allows specific locations to do the inspections) so I have once chance to get this possibly passed.

You can be shut down by a DOT officer if they check for this. And I mean oos until it's fixed.

This is not an expensive fix. Slide under there, make sure all the wires are connected. Shine your light and make sure that brass ring is clean if not clean it. Tap the sensor back into place. If you had been doing this from the beginning fixing it would take 2 minutes after you figure out which one is your problem child

goforce is correct, its not a shut down offense....

also as typical when asking for help on internet forums... i am not asking for what is shut down offenses, my question was clear, how do i disable it temporarily? I'll fix it myself when i have time, not a question of law or ethics, it is a simple electrical question....

So just remove the bulb out of the dash.
