Wow! Our first couple of years, agents cancelled our loads. It was always the middle booking. I don't deal with certain agents and/or brokers. Ever. Jack-holes always try to screw us out of money. Maybe it's because I'm a woman. LS could care less! I have a "naughty" list and a "gold-star" list.

We've been here for 7 years? We do okay.

A couple of friends followed us. One's doing okay, as well.

We are O/O's and pay a CPA to take care of our taxes, after many years. He tells us to show some profit, after 3 years. He also tells us it's time to buy new equipment, so we can take the depreciation, against income. A new motor @ $40k can wipe out *any* income for the year. Not once have we claimed $60k in income, regardless of our gross. It just doesn't work that way. Our schedule C eats up our gross. Fuel eats half. Just because the money flows through a bank account doesn't mean you get to keep it!

We've grossed $150k year-over-year. For us, that's okay. We've had sick fam, etc. If we were both on the truck, running hard, we'd do better.

Welcome to trucking! Take special care of some agents. When I see it's a brokered load, I make sure they *don't* have my husband's phone number. CH Robinson likes to call all night long! Back in the day, those ######## called every half-hour while we were waiting for a load of copper in Hayden, AZ. I answered for hours before I turned off the phone. Never #### with my husband and piss me off. I demand detention up front for that treatment. I keep a log of this crap, when I'm on the truck.

Thought I was going over today. Came around this hill and WHOOM. Stayed wtf windy for about 40 miles through this canyon and pass, seriously bum F no where 2 lane too lol.
If I'd flipped off in their probably wouldn't have found me until the load was seriously late.
Then it was white knuckle for about another hour.
Getting dark, fried, running out of time, come to a town, and there's an AMBEST lol.
So I stopped. What a P. Hell to get old.

I got friend who was supposed to picl up a load ( tanker divosion) . Had bills in hand, but it got cancelled. They accidentally gave him the load sheet. It paid $2600 more than what Schneider quoted him
