FORMER executives. So, who cares?
nightgunner Thanks this. -
And they banned Maryland My Maryland for being too inflammatory once upon a time. To sing it was a two week suspension in school. Sheesh.
I best not proceed any further except to say, these are former bosses now so that has been fixed by Corporate. What a shame people have not gotten ahold of that sensitivity training. -
More damage control for PFJ lol...
drvrtech77 and bzinger Thank this. -
Interesting ,
i didn't know that Warren Buffet owns 38.6% of Pilot/FlyingJ since October last years;
Greedy @#$@$, this explains the higher prices at pump while crude oil price keeps dropping.Opus Thanks this. -
Their name is mud IMO. Warren invested in some very good real estate and that is it.

I

I don't know why more drivers prefer pilot over Loves. Yes, Loves usually has a line waiting for the showers, but that's because they don't have many showers. I find Loves (for the most part) easier to get into and out of, the showers are cleaner, and customer service is far better. I once walked into a shower at a Pilot and there was pubic hair on the toilet and a used bandaid in the shower. I almost threw up.
Loves also gives you a free refill and shower for a fill of 50 gal or more. And redeeming either doesn't cost you points. Pilot makes you use your points to get a free refill, and points are one point per gallon, not per dollar like Loves. I fill about the same amount at Loves and Pilot and I have over 5100 points on my Loves card AFTER redeeming 3000 to buy a new CB antenna, and 500 points on my Pilot card. I have no showers left on Pilot and one left on Loves.
For comparison, filling 150 gallons at Loves at say 3 dollars a gallon will get you a free shower, free refill and 400 points. At pilot youd get a free shower and 150 points. The drink refill at Loves doesn't touch your points, at Pilot, it would empty your points as refills cost about 150 points. The ONLY thing I like about Pilot is usually their parking lots are larger and their soda fountain selection is usually greater. But both have my two favorites, Dr P and Mountain Dew and diet versions of each. I found one Pilot that had Sunkist, my ultimate favorite but I never see it or Fanta in Loves or Pilot except for that one.Last edited: Jan 13, 2018
Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
I prefer low cost fuel and good service above all.
I do not care about their points system and most of their showers are just fine. Never any waiting for a shower or for dumb dumb parked at the fuel pump. Respect all the way around.
Never found at any of the major chains.
