Me moving about 4.5 gb worth of files to your desktop. You will need a couple of Micro SD Cards. Card 1 - can be an 8gb, but once used it will be imaged and not usable again as an SD Card for other purposes.

Depending on your internet speed at your house it could be a few hours from start to finish.

    Thanks,
    Mark

If you see my post above, I got the issue resolved via tech support by accessing the recovery tools. All is fixed! The tech also noted that it is not a good idea to do updates while traveling. Making sure you have a stable internet connection during updates minimizes the chance to get a broken file download.

Hey Mark, Happy NY! You helped me out with my 720 a year ago...or 2, maybe MY latest prob is with the main map screen getting stuck in major urban areas. That is, I don't have to reboot to fix it, just go somewhere else like history to "change" the screen- then return and all is well. My hunch is that the processor is "overloaded" because it only happens where a lot of roads and infrastructure come together- too much information, perhaps. So I made the decision to eliminate almost all of the POIs which I rarely utilize anyway except parking. You think that might do the trick?

Go to Post 117 and read forward... What kind of SD Card you have in the slot?

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Just for reference.

The x40's do not have a reset button. The hole in the back is the Mic.

The 70/80/80B have the reset on the top, to the left of the volume button. A SIM card remover works well.

    Thanks,
    Mark
