Ask the CPA if they know any attorneys they can recommend. The attorney is there to have on retainer, someone to get real legal advice from for anything trucking business related.
Sometimes that advice is needed quick, and having it in your speed dial is a lot better then spending hours looking for it when you only have minutes.

Is that what you currently haul and or have experience with in that side of trucking? If not, save your money.
-
It’s not what I currently haul. I just noticed there are lots of maxi loads on the boards that pay more. After investigation though I see there’s a bit more bureaucratic BS you have to go through to do it. That on top of getting pulled in at every scale made me decide to go back to a regular flatbed.
Next question: flatbed or stepdeck? Flatbed has been my main focus all along, but I better ask before buying.Mooseontheloose Thanks this. -
I’d like to ask an opinion on a name for the company. I wanted to use my last name, but that’s already the name of another large construction company in my town. Don’t want customers to get confused with the two. Wanted to use my nickname and call it “Gump’s”, but it may not sound as professional. We are leaning toward “Stell Transport” or “Stell Trucking”. I prefer ‘transport’ over trucking in the name, but when you hear that does it sound more passenger transportation versus commodities?

Companies use them both along with logistics, enterprises, etc.
I used an internet alias I used your use and just went with transport services
