That's still 115 more HP than the truck the OP was asking about. I'm willing to bet you have heavy duty gears as well. Was your truck built as a dump truck or converted after a previous use?

Mine is actually a tractor/trailer setup. '04 Columbia originally built to haul frameless dump with 12k front and 3.58 40k rears so no it's not a heavy (does weigh a bit more then most) built truck

Most of the quints I looked up were 400+ HP with 4:11 to 4:56 rears. 8LLs or 15 speeds. Dump trailer specs seem to be more liberal based on weight laws. But I see your point.

Thanks for all the info on the truck, I’m not going to buy that truck anymore but does anybody have any advice on which way I should setup my LLC for tax purposes? Disregard entity or s-Corp?

Check out the trucker taxes and finance forum here on TTR. There should be plenty of info considering the recent legislation

Forgot to say I have a boring 10 speed also. I don't know what the truck hauled before I bought it. It's not the best for what I do but it gets the job done
