Regional outfits like Heartland pay long-haul money for short-haul work. And it's not really the .50 cpm they advertise, more like 46.5 since they pay off of HHG short miles. So no real premium there. Then it's .00 cpm sitting at docks on the back-end of multiple short runs, which is a real bummer. To top it off, you'll drive the most stripped-down, barest-bone fleet trucks on the market. They may have a few decent dedicated accounts, but I would generally avoid these guys.
