Which ELD did you go with

    How is the Transflo T-7 working out? Any issues? Are you still using it on your phone or have you tried it on a tablet?

    I'm using Blue Ink no problems yet. It's got a few bugs but I'm getting by with them.

    It’s working fine, There were a couple of hiccups due to operator error but all is good now. I still have it on the phone, still trying to decide on a tablet.....

    I have talked to other people that are using it and having good results. I can't get them to answer the phone or call me back. Guess I will keep trying..

    On the technical help side it probably will be tough getting through to someone. I'm sure once everyone flipped the switch on there were some issues and they were overwhelmed.

    What I discovered working on the inside of a trucking company was most of the elog issues I dealt with were user related problems. Guys just not comfortable with or used to how the interface works on an ELD.

    If you are using BigRoad already and have technical issues, I would suggest leaving your call back number at the prompt. I did that on one occasion and someone called me right back.

    I used EZ ELD for the last 5 days. First couple of days i wanted to throw it out of the window, but later I decided to run my truck over it and make a video of it and upload it to YouTube. I'll name it "Crash test of Ez ELD". Why? Because:
    1. It does not want to accept DVIR (PTI) from first time. I had a luck getting it done on 3rd o 4th time. Same with Post Trip insp. Last 2 days I even did not bother doing it as I know that it will not work. So, i'm driving without DVIR (PTI) record.
    2. FUEL. It doesnt want to Successfully save my fuel receipt. Customer Support told me its because of Internet Connectivity Issues. No Internet - no DVIR, no Fuel. And we all know what is it when driver does not log PTI or Fuel - it is a violation. and its not because you didn't do it, but because stupid app simply cant successfully save it.
    3. IFTA. for the first 5 days it calculated Negative IFTA miles. Like first day I ran -344 miles. (minus).
    second day -460 miles, and so on every day, because somehow it records my Starting Odometer reading higher then ending (ex. start the day with 340500 mi and after driving for 470 miles you end up with 340255). Cust support told me that its a known issue and they are working on it.
    4. The app crashed 2 times while driving and the device started beeping like crazy until I stopped and relaunched the app.
    5. Like every 30 min it gives you error message "GPS Location could not be found".
    However I did not have any Violations I had a lot of technical issues with the software and the device itself.

    In a mean time they told me to update my devise firmware by doing this:
    Please also verify that the device has the latest firmware

    First of all, you need to make sure that you have downloaded the latest firmware updater application.

    This can be sourced from the following location:

    Google Play Store (Updater App) (Android Phone)

    Apple App Store (Updater App) (Apple Phone)


    It’s important that the main EZ-ELD application is closed and not paired to the device before you attempt to upgrade the device firmware.


    Please also ensure when upgrading that you do not disconnect with the device until the upgrade has completed
