I appreciate the honesty, IDK I feel frustrated and broke in my situation now with the company I am with. Out of the companies that have contacted me they have seem the most honest and upfront.
So I got a job offer.

I'm not buying 46 cents per mile for someone with no experience.
36 yea, 46 no way. Ozark has good pay and they TOP OUT at 48cpm for people with 7+ years of experience. Nobody could touch their starting pay for me, 41.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
Cr England, swift, usexpressSteel Dragon Thanks this.

Did you contact Pride Transport; I tagged you on one of their threads. That driver said they fly him home for his hometime.
Calex Logistics has long runs to the west coast.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -

I have zero experience, Class A. My boss told me how much I'll make on a certain run he wants dedicated to me. I converted the 25% of load, lump sum pay, to mileage. Works out to 67 cents a mile.Steel Dragon Thanks this.
-
Ok that's percent of load. If you're paid on mileage, nobody starts out making 48cpm.
You might only get one load a day. Or get stuck holding onto a load. We would get detention pay/layover, you wouldn't.Steel Dragon and WesternPlains Thank this. -
The PA area started me off as 43 cents a mile and the Ohio area they told me would be .46 cents a mile starting off and like 15 bucks per load and 30 bucks per backhaul they ask you to pick up.Steel Dragon Thanks this.
-
That's the difference between mileage pay and percentage. On percentage, a good paying run pays you well. On mileage, the company makes bank on those good paying runs. Works the other way, too, on the crap runs...but there really isn't any benefit to anybody to run the crap loads.
What makes you think there is no detention/layover pay when running for percentage?Steel Dragon and WesternPlains Thank this.
