As a team driver,(me and wifey), I never had a strong opinion for or against elog mandate. In the 5+ years we’ve been driving we just haven’t had issues with our hours, but I could always see that solos could have problems operating within HOS. But I have noticed already that parking is becoming a problem. Stops where I’ve always found parking regardless of the time are now filling up early! I have now formed an opinion on the mandate. It sucks! I never really thought the mandate would affect us, but it has.

I've been on Elogs a while with no issues. You guys that have been complaing need to just hang the keys up, you've obviously have issues beyond logging. This business is to much for some folks to grasp.

Imo I think drivers/ o / o's that are having trouble with the eld mandate need to learn this phrase "I'm sorry I can't do that, I could how ever do this"
If you used to drive 65 and now drive 70 how much time are you really gaining on your trip? An hour? Two? Should that cause a big problem to the receiver? I don't think so, not if you tell the from the start. But then I also think that if they waited until they were out before they ordered something then that's their #### fault. Not saying all operations and trips can be run the same.

Now I first learned to drive in the mid 90s. The hardest thing for the older drivers and those of us educated by the old schoolers is saying "I can't do that"

So, because the mandate didn't affect your particular operation, then everyone else, including the veterans of this industry who have been safely doing this job for decades, should just immediately quit huh?

I think we are blaming you "old timers" . you glorified running outlaw and doing what can't be done instead of fighting to fix hos decades ago....this is reaping all those years of lying are coming back to bite us .....now as i.m a little older i.m better at saying I can do this but not that it,s icey I hit traffic etc this is when i.ll be here. that is the short term solution we need to find our spine again.
