First off let me say thanks for all the great info by everyone posted on here thats making smarter drivers, preventing lots of mistakes(driving career and moneywise)and saving lives. Im gonna continue reading threads but I want specific info on opinions of the best paid CDL school/job opportunity for me here in the Dayton/Southwest Ohio area.
A little about me: I LOVE DRIVING! There's a certain feeling of happiness and calm I get from it.I love seein the sights and nature. I drive from Dayton,OH to my hometown Tuscaloosa without blinkin. Drove Dayton to Biloxi, MS straight no sweat. All 2017 goin back & forth from Dayton to Denver I only pull over after about 14hrs just to be nice to my car since it was my dads.
Been having the pull to take trucking up as a career a long time now. I don't have kids/not married so long time away from home is no biggie. In my area havent found any opportunity to truck w/o at least a year exp. so I felt like payin for school myself didnt give a big advantage over paid school. I figure they're gonna find a way to get the best of newbies to a certain degree regardless.
I understand gotta pay dues to get started in the game, but want a line that's gonna give me good training that's recognized by everyone w/o having to retrain if I ever leave that line and decent newbie pay and respect.
Any school/ info and cpm range for each type of haul to is greatly appreciated!!

Living in Dayton your an hour south of me in Jackson center, it's north east of Sidney. Your in tyre hiring area for my company transport national, we have a yard in Sharonville. They do hire out of cdl school but you'll have to be a top performer. Where you are, I suggest the cdl school over in Springfield at Clark state community college. That's where my dad went back in the mid 80s
Just passing by and SouthernNortherner Thank this. -
I also have been putting feelers out to all the advertising lines that fund school having them send emails of what they have to offer which I will share for you all too speak on as they come in.

If you can avoid it, I'd stay clear of company sponsored school. You'll serve yourself better to get it on your own, it'll open up a lot more options for you over the short-term.
Most times you can get a student loan to pay for it, and most reputable companies will offer you reimbursement for that school that you can use to pay towards the loanDan.S, Broke Down 69 and SouthernNortherner Thank this. -
