That's an old one, I just brought the upper rudder for #1530 in on Friday from Texas. Then this week we'll be loading the entire aft assembly (everything from the rear pressure dome back) minus the horizontal stabilizer and upper rudder on the Antonov to fly up and I'll haul the horizontal stabilizer by truck.
Any Jet engine/ avaition equipment haulers out there?

I've been curious about getting into this field as well. Any other engine hauler outfit or an outfit that sticks to aircraft equipment primarily?

Must be money in it, have you seen some of these big rigs that haul aircraft engines? Those are not cheap trucks!

Hauling Aircraft parts is a some what small community. The owners of that truck are now retired living in Louisiana.
I have used them as pilot cars before.
If you read the article my boss is one of the builders of that truck. Jeff “Chubby” hillier and his wife, Kim, run the special operations team at SPD. -
Know a guy that hauls a bunch of wings. Most of the time pulling a 10 wide, 15 tall, and overlength van trailer. Somehow the roof retracts on the trailer so they can lower the wing into it.
kylefitzy Thanks this.
