Sorry to hear about your job loss,, too late now but always get stuff in writing or something official, always cover your ### cause nobody else will. I'm sure the "Head mechanic" said he knew nothing about it. Again not saying this to be mean, just advice for next time.

$425.00. I hope that it is a typo! If it is not, the otr industry is worse than I thought. If that is the case, Celadon belongs right in the middle ot the "bad company" forum. I only hope the best for you.

Well you should have contacted you FM or your Saftey department and made sure it was ok. Well i hope you learned a valuable lesson here, and i hope that you find something soon to get back on track.

Hey Rich, I don't know anything about any of the other stuff but you should try to apply for unemployment anyway. Just put that you were terminated on the application and someone from your states unemployment department will call to interview you. Just tell them what you told us here. Be honest and leave the final decision to them. You still may not get it, but it sure doesn't hurt to try.
I was "fired" from a job that I was at for 3 years with absolutely NO disciplinary problems, write ups, nothing. The owner "fired" me after a disagreement, I applied for unemployment and I got it.
Good luck. I hope you don't even need unemployment and find something soon! -
Good luck, rich. I don't doubt a thing you say. I've been dispatched to places after the appointment time has already passed with not even a mention of an appointment, so I surely don't doubt that they gave you a wrong appointment time, especially with the drivers I've talked to that have went to the shipper to find out someone else already picked up the load. I see things going in the wrong direction at Roehl, but it still pays the bills better than the other job. If you don't have any accidents on your record, you might be in a position to find a small local company to drive for. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

i contacted dept of labor they said if your terminated you cant get unemployment pay if there is something else i could do id appreciate advice.
I was terminated from Interstate distributors and I received benefits. You can't know until you apply for the benefits and you state why you where terminated. Then the company has so much time to contest it and then a determination will be made. FILE NOW and do not trust the word of some bureaucrat at DOL.
In the meantime find temp agency's in your area that hire Drivers and sign up with as many as you can and go to work till you can get back on the road. -

Yep, Since unemployement is state run the laws are different from state to state.
But generally if your termination was not due to gross willful misconduct like setting the truck on fire or stealing something you will get bebifits at some point. But you can't know until you file. -
thank you so much for advice i hope you have a great holiday

As far as i know every roehl truck has APU's in them so why would you want an inverter??? States right in the Roehl hand book that all services on the trucks must be done by a company mechanic. Its not that hard to follow the rules. Roehl is an excellent company to work for. I feel for ya but next time follow the rules and fork out the $150 bucks to have it installed right. Good luck to ya
