I know a certain treat you could give him, and for certain you'll stay awake with the window cracked for fresh air thus keeping you awake longer lol!

Well for anyone keeping count. This week has been pure sh**. Finally got unloaded in Mandeville with a pick up in Bogalusa. 44k of lumber, strapped and rollin out right on "schedule". Made good time all the way to Beaumont where a friend plugged his fancy computer into ky truck, checked the codes, then adjusted the speed limiters. Ate some dinner at Twin Peaks and rolled on Houston bound for an 8am drop. Just east of I had an inner drive tire let go so I pulled over, inspected, messaged the boss and proceeded to limp doen the feeder about 2mi to the truck stop. I get 1/4mi down the road and this Mustang comes out of nowhere from.behind and slams on his brakes right #### in front of me. I mean I couldnt see the rear of his pos over the nose of my Prostar. He proceeds to jump out screaming and yelling at me about I dont even know what. I roll the window down and the convo goes like this:

Him: *screaming* What the F! What are you doing!? *random yelling* I cant understand.
Me: What the hell are you doing? Im trying to limp to a truck stop with a blown tire
Him: F you! Whats wrong with you driving so slow! Im calling the ####ing cops! Im 22yrs old and in the air force with a clean record mf'er! What are you?! 35?! Im.getting your license plate #! *runs to the back of my trailer*
Me: Get away from my truck. As I back up and start to pull around his car he's screaming at me.

So at this point Im prepared for a fight. He comes flying around me again and tries to block me several times but is too far in front of me. At this point Ive got my phone and Im dialing 911 (not what I wanted to do) and explain my situation. Dispatch notifies the deputies in the area and asks if I need assistance. I told her no thank you Id just limp to the truck stop and if a deputy needed to talk to me they could call me back and meet me. Then the kid just takes off down the feeder at warp speed. Im thinkin he's going to go sit and wait for me, but as I pulled into the TS I never saw him again.

Im thinkin "#### I sure am glad I bought this dash cam", only to realize it was dead and didnt record a #### thing.

Then to top it off, my load of lumber slid way forward, broke a band and ended up 2" from my headache rack. So it was all janky coming into the drop off in Sugar Land, Tx. 4hrs later Im unloaded and now gotta pick up in Baytown.

SAR, ShooterK2, Logan76 and 3 others Thank this.

I been MIA for a couple days.... Don't know if I got the flu on top of a cold or if I just picked off my stomach.

Sorry about the truck @wore out but glad the kid is OK. I spent yesterday still dealing with Mama's accident in November. The insurance company seems to have a hard time comprehending that after your insurer caused this accident I'm still out 10k and I'm not signing anything until I have someone smarter than me look at it.

@OLDSKOOLERnWV I'm thinking that truck knows where it's going...Climb in the back and take a nap. Turn 'n burn...

Hillbilly I'd a had a hard time not just punting his axx right off the road.

@1951 ford you sure do good work. Somedays I wonder if I shouldn't go back into it but I sure do like hearing that kitty sing running down a two lane blacktop with the stars out.

    A little story....

A few years ago the kid decided he wanted to run a mobile service truck. Had one picked out wanted me to go look at it....I said Bubba I think that's alot to spend. I found a autocrane body I'm gonna go buy with a six ton crane and a radial compressor that I can buy for less than the compressor is worth..... I just want use of the crane. If you want you can use it. I also found a f450 for around a third of the price they were going for at the time. Won't start in cold weather. If you know anything about a 6.0 you know that's a $300 fix. You buy the truck you can have the body as long as I have use of the crane.

Well him and the guy he was working with that was gonna help him set it up on the new truck parted ways after he had removed the body from the chassis I bought it on. So now I have a chassis sitting on a trailer in my yard and still can't use the dang crane. Today he tells me he put the 450 up for sale. I'd just take it but I need another truck like I need another hole in my head.

I have a service truck...it has a 30ft boom basket and a generator that is great for trimming trees or washing of the top of the trailer. I told mama everyone needs a boom truck (the likelihood y'all can get that to fly is your own problem).

So I'm at a delima.... Do I mount the crane on the boom truck (that I've since mounted a snow plow to that I bought for a song but the truck has blown a head gasket) or do I sink a mount into the ground and put it in the corner of the shop addition that needs to go on this year???

These are the things that keep me awake at night.......

I will give up my 11 ft auto crane bed with 8606 crane and my 4 ft welding deck when they pile dirt in my face. It's on a 4900 IH that I ain't crazy bout. But I got a 359 day cab with a 310 3406B that be right for it. I work off it in the shop the Lincoln pulls shop welder plus field welder duty. Also powers Mama's house when the lights is off. I reckon my point is as handy as the crane will be in the shop it's handier on a truck. Be surprised at the #### you will use it for that you used do by hand.
