So, after looking around on Jason Kip's FACEBOOK page. It would appear that this is not his radio and he has just copied the picture from from a post on CB & HAM Antenna page. From what I can see the radio belongs to Todd Freeman with a link under the picture that takes you to the STRYKER page. The CB & HAM Antenna page seems to do a lot of advertising for Stryker Radio too.
Also, on the post for this pictured radio. Multiple people ask where this radio with the amp attached can be purchased Problem is no one seems to have the answer.

I have a 955 HP I bought from DTB about 3 years ago and Although I think it is a great radio. I think the noise level is way to high for good ear to make a difference. It's not bad in the country or on the highway. But once I get within city limits? The static level quadruples to the point I want to toss the radio out the truck window. For $400 I expected a lot more from the radio. I could send it to Fine Tune and for a good chunk of change more I could get it improved. I have actually boxed it up several times to send it to him. But I decided to buy an N4 instead. The 955 is still in the box I was going to send it out in the last time I packed it up.
My N4 on the other hand is everything I wanted in a radio. I got the extra power ,excellent audio and I can hear better then any of my other radios.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Marks tune will do the trick..955 has great ears,my 955 is like that as well
Dtb.....lol..nooooooooorabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I bought my 955 from DTB almost 4 years ago before he got himself in to hot water. Dave may be considered a extremely horrible human in most people's eyes . But, Dave was and is a good tech who tunes a radio the way it is supposed to be tuned. His prices were fair and he was always very modest and honest in his business and his business dealings. He never bad mouthed other techs or their work in person or on social media. I will admit he has been accused of some ugly crimes and I don't condone his behaviour if what he was accused of is true. But, I will not confused his crimes with his ability to tune or repair a radio. He may be a douche nozzle. But he is also one of the few real radio tech out there today who tunes a radio the correct way.
I don't know what Mark charged you for your 955. But, I am sure you paid Mark considerably more for your 955 then I paid DTB for my 955. The reason I am sure of it because I paid through the nose for my N4 that I bought from Mark and I know I could have gotten it a lot cheaper from DTB if I had gone that route. But for obvious reasons I chose Mark Sherman.
Both a ###### good techs. -
Im not referring to dtb's not so legal endevers...His attitude sucked....His tunes didnt add anything impressive either..
Seems his tune is more meter based than anything else..
I had a tune on one 955 done and bought a 955/447hpc2 tuned plus coax and some mics....Didnt pay no huge amount over what most places also ask for their tuned radios....
But what i gained compared to whats other shops was huge.....
