if there is no paperwork it was not rebiult.
you can still buy it but buy it as if its not rebuilt because its not. i don't know any person that owns a truck that could not pull up a receipt for a major repair bill like that. if they claim it was done at a dealer you can have them run the vin number and tell you.
a dyno is a good tool but its not a majic wand to tell you how many miles are left in it.

Thanks for all your replies! Was feeling a little leary. Current situation is I have a 06 Volvo with an ISX in it that may need an inframe. I'm trying to weigh my options because I really don't want to sink $20,000 in that particular truck. The guy selling the Freightliner said he isn't available to do the dyno anymore so I guess that's a sign right there. I'm glad I asked. You guys always keep me grounded.
