It is not an argument now about running or not running a reefer because you have morphed it into something it is not. You are making it sound like you are putting a load in danger by the act of flipping a switch off because TK is a slip shot operation that has a history of making drivers wait for days to get replacement parts. I am attempting to clear that. I will agree that it will always be a possibility this could happen but it simply has not happened to me in the years I pulled some of the worst junk on the road. Also I brought this topic up in one of my facebook groups. I was told by a loss prevention person that in most cases TK can keep a reefer running by bypassing things while they do wait if something has to be sent to them overnight.
So I am going back to my original position. If you desire to flip that switch off to fuel, it is silly to do so but in just about every case that unit will re-crank. If it does not there is a team of people starting with your company that stands ready to get that reefer up and running soon so you will not lose the load and get those wheels turning.
Fueling reefer while reefer on?
