Likely all you will be able to do, if you cannot get ahold of the company is to report them stolen. They are likely in an impound yard somewhere when a driver parked the truck somewhere and walked away for not being paid.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

As a driver when I got sick of bs I just dropped the truck and trailer at closest truck stop and informed the owner. If I can give you an advice, keep it short and straight forward. NO PAYMENT - NO BUISNESS. Report it as stolen.

This is what happens when employees try to play "contractor" on a 1099. Hard lesson learned, driver.

Not actually right. There are two problems.
First of all, nobody wants to deal with new and inexperienced employees (in any field) and very low salary or whatever pay options employers offer. This leads green drivers to shady companies like these, who offrer +/- $1500/week.
Secondly, employers who want to avoid extra spendings. They only offer “1099 deal” and they don’t pay extra taxes like social security, health insurance, no benefits at all. And they are able to pay higher rates and willing to hire anyone.
And it’s not like drivers offer to work on 1099, that’s the only way they run their trucking companies.
Now, please, tell me if you know anyone without driving experience who would refuse to be paid good money starting week 1?

1099 "employees" are getting screwed, driver. If you think getting paid on a 1099 is good money then that's all you. Most people know better though. You got your karma from where I'm sitting.
