Sup folks, hello from Manchester TN. I am extremely pleased that this day is over, it's been a trying day. I've had worse for sure. But I've definitely earned this beer I'm holding. It could have been much worse. When I parked yesterday I decided to call the shipper for today's load on the off chance I could come early. Not only did they let me come in 6.5 hours early, they actually thanked me for rescheduling. That's a new one lol. As I mentioned earlier my trailer was rejected by the shipper because there was a small water leak in the front of the trailer. I messaged dispatch and was told that there should be an empty there somewhere. It wasn't at that location, but security directed me to another location down the road and I switched out over there. And it was a 17, so I knew I'd be good with that one. I got loaded up, weighed my truck, and fueled up at Cartersville on my way here. This load is going to Evansville IL and has to be there by 2:30pm tomorrow. Easily done, as I'm only 4 hours away. I could've gone a bit further but honestly I didn't feel like it. I spent 3.5 hours at the shipper (not their fault) then had to fight Atlanta traffic in heavy rain. Then rush hour in Chattanooga in moderate rain. I saw this place on my route on Trucker Path and decided this was far enough. I'm further ahead than I would have been anyways, had I picked this load up at my scheduled time. That also means I'll have more hours left after delivering, and I'll be done with this load sooner than originally expected. If it sounds to you like I'm working really hard to justify this beer, you'd be 100% correct :biggrin_2559: I'm not sure where Opie will send me from my final but the list of suspects is long. That's a freight-rich area for us. I'm hoping he keeps me relatively close to the Midwest area, because I'm heading home on Friday. My presence is being requested at home. It'll be 5 weeks so I guess I'm due, wasn't really wanting to head home yet though. But, happy wife = happy life so apparently I'm going home. I have stuff to do anyways, so I'll get some more forward progress accomplished for my future plans. I'll be dealing with the TSA on this trip. I'm looking forward to that like a root canal. Hope all of you are safe and happy wherever you are. Be safe out there in Truckerland. Keep the rubber side down and check your pins. Peace y'all.

Sup y'all, hello from Mt. Vernon IL. Yet another day where I got stretched thin on time and barely got parked before my 14 expired. When I first started on my own, I thought that was cool. Running out my time and making the most of my day. Now it pissed me off, and it's getting old. I delivered this morning in Evansville IN and was given a load that picked up in St Elmo IL. It was supposed to be a dnh, but the load wasn't ready. So they took the trailer I dropped and used it for the load. By the time they got me out of there, this was a far as I could legally go. I'll be starting later than I'm used to tomorrow, and I'll most likely hit rush hour in Nashville. Fantastic. This load is going to Atlanta. By the time I drop this trailer I'll only have a couple hours left, no way in hell I'm accepting another load til morning. Hopefully tomorrow will go more smoothly than today. Whatever could go wrong did. Hope y'all had a better day than me. Catch you guys on the flipside, it's time for sleep. Be safe out there.

Funny how a couple of hours can ruin the whole fn day. Nashville, Crashville, The Big Nasty,,,, I feel for ya brotha.
I've had a good couple days off here in Richfield. Got b service on my ride with brand new drive shoes. Gonna hit up Wally World early in the morning and be on the board by 0900. Got to BS with @Suspect Zero a couple nights ago. That dude is always fun to shoot the ####e with. Good peep he is.
    Let's roll.
