Here we go CDL school (Journal)

Was 50/50 on whether I would pass physical but I did and got a one year card. SO, MVR is in the mail. Med card in hand. $2000 in an envelope. Ready to register. Start class on Feb 5th.

I’ll be keeping this thread updated as a journal probably daily or every other day as class begins. It is 7 weeks, 350 hours. Feb 5 - March 29. There will be about 7 students.

 

I’ll note during orientation they mention in the past 3 years nobody has failed the CDL test on their first try. Only one person in the past two years graduated with no job.

 

I think the DMV guys come there. He said they schedule them and we use their trucks but not sure which location. If you fail you get to use their trucks two more times free then it’s $50/hr

 

Officially enrolled. Swiped the ol debit card for two grand today. Said thanks to my daughter for the tax credit.

 

One week out. Copy of CDL manual (the one with the blue truck on the front) came and I’ve been reading. Could probably pass the written test already tbh. Just going over it again and again. Especially the pre-trip stuff. Excited to get started.

 

I have apnea (had to bring CPAP report) and anxiety (lexapro).
