Great video, just watched it the other day.

 

Yea I can scrub the heck out them and they still have patina . They're busted up, split up, and sore as the dickens. My left hand is like a corncob from steering wheel ( turning with my palm ). Ends of my fingers and knuckles are bleeding from being split open . They're like a pine knot all year but during the winter.... lol, not a good thing to rub my hand across my wife's clothes Feels, sounds, and looks like a set of cultivators lol!! Be safe out there.

 

Same thing I found with my bucket of bolts when I began the rebuild. I was fortunate in my buddy having new bearing / race packs in stock at his parts store.

 

Is that why guys wear driving gloves??

Mine is the same way. I worked with my hands so long I never consider gloves, can't do #### in them any way

 

Bout all I can do with gloves on is wet my pants.

Don't know if you watched the video or not but he said that the bunk is usually what people ask about first and then they get into the rest of the particulars.
