Bobtail for a month? Ha what could they be accomplishing driving without a trailer?
Even more important is how can they be training to drive the real thing? They know how to drive a car already right?Aamcotrans and laylow909 Thank this. -
Bobtailing also means straight truck driving.

I would go OTR, if I was you. Ontario, CA just sucks in general. If you don't know how to back in tight space, you ain't going to make it. Go otr for bit, get some experience around some easy places, then go from there
laylow909 Thanks this. -
Call “Gardner” in Chino. They will hire you. Do you have your Doubles endorsement ? They will hire you on the spot if you do.

When I was in California I worked at a place in Fontana called Dart.
I have no idea what their policy is on new hires, but they were always looking for drivers.
Could be a place to get started maybe if you don't have anywhere else.
I did a lot of trips to San Francisco for them.laylow909 Thanks this. -
No that's alright, it is like other terms, people don't know them from the past, so keep asking when you see something you don't understand.laylow909 Thanks this.

you gain experience either way, otr you will back into tight spaces with a sleeper and a 53, local you will back into tight spaces with a daycab and most likely places you will go again, which sounds better to you.laylow909 Thanks this.
