    CEL - Possibly coolant related either the sensor or possibly the water pump. Either way, if it takes them another day to even look at it I'll be leaving here and taking it somewhere else.

    Temperatures and gauges acting normal but I get a "low coolant warning" every so often intermittently... probably is the sensor but I'm not mechanic.

    Probably the same as it was the last time I talked to you, lol. Just normal everyday stuff. We squeeze in some fun between all the work, life is good!

    Don't you love when you go in first thing Monday morning with no idea where you are headed for the week to be given a trip you wouldn't have expected in a million years?

    Well, I just got it. So I'm told I'm going to Slate Falls, ON.

    Me: "You mean north of Sioux Lookout, Slate Falls?"
    Logistics manager: "Yes, you are picking up two sea cans"
    Me: "I'm going up empty?"
    LM: "Why, what's the problem?"
    Me: "It's a 144 km drive up a gravel logging road with an average speed of 50 km/h. And it's winter."
    LM: "So when are you able to leave?"
    Me: "Well, let me go see if we have enough tire chains..."
    Me: "We don't have any 24's, I am going to need a truck with 22's"

    So, long story short, I've got the sea cans picked up, I left about 1:30 pm yesterday afternoon after getting in for about 8:00 am. The gravel logging road was a breeze to drive this morning (I stayed near Sioux Lookout for the night) but I hit a big snow storm once I got back to Sioux Lookout and I called it quits in Ignace because the road pretty much disappeared... and I'm not a "running on hopes and prayers" kind of driver (especially in Ontario).

    What makes it even better is I'm taking these cans to the company's home base down in Ayr, ON. Not sure what my reload is going to be, but I'm likely going to be in Ayr on Thursday, and I won't have enough hours to make it all the way down there and all the way back through Ontario (I used 6 just to drive from SL to Slate Falls and back), so I'm hoping for something going through the US, or even a pre-loaded trailer in our secondary yard.

    If I get a preload, I should be able to get back in time. If not, I'm either going to be running recaps or resetting somewhere along the way. My only hope is it's somewhere warm. Thankfully either way, I'm taking an actual vacation from the 10th to the 20th of February, so whenever I get back, it may just give me that many more days off. And I'm not one to turn my nose up at a 5500 km week in the middle of winter. Money is money and I'm grossing less than 50k right now.

    @ShooterK2

    I was spot on. Coolant sensor was dead. 24 hour wait for a 15 minute fix. Ain't that a #####.

    Oh well. I get another night at a bar and get a 34. Just gotta get a steer replaced in the morning. That roofing place gave me a big roofing nail as a parting gift.

    The J in Ayr fills up fast. There's a Petro south end of Kitchener you can usually park at. I don't remember if you've run southern Ontario much, holler if you need anything.
