is there a diff between pulling off/stopping in the breakdown lane and pulling off into an actual pulloff spot like you see on alot of 2 lane roads?

I called safety, they stated that mostly the no shoulder rule is intended for four lane or larger highways (aka two lanes on both sides) which are intended as a place to park in an emergency, not designated pull off spots.

As of today I and my husband are no longer employed by Werner Enterprises. The issue was our own doing, in these tough times, and I hold no ill will. I do however think that the timing was more the coincidental, considering I was 1 week from my yearly bonuses. :biggrin_2552:

I enjoyed my time at Werner, and would return in a heartbeat. But I am also looking at this as a good thing as without motivation I would have remained a company driver for probably forever.

But as I no longer work there I will be unable to do much in terms of offering advice, and updates. They wished us the best, and we wish them the best.

sorry to hear that, its never any fun having to look for a new job regardless whether its because of dismissal, quitting, or lay off. hopefully you guys will be able to find something again if you were dismissed it may be hard in the current state of things but if it was voluntary then you guys especially being a team may be able to do just fine as teams are gold right now to alot of companies.

Put it this way, Werner's saftey guy, and my dispatcher both said to come back as soon as the economy was better >.>

Course once I find another company I'll be too comfy to leave.

Does Werner have a dress code? cause I'm a t-shirt and shorts kinda guy i hate wearing pants but do it when I need to. I haven't heard anything about dress code and was going to pack t-shirts, shorts and a few pair of pants for training

No dress code, but you'll probably want to be sure to pack some winter gear too.
