I don't know of any companies that allow pets when pulling a chemical tank. Most plants will not allow you to take a pet into the plant.

I remember a CTL driver posting about having his dog with him; maybe he wasn't supposed to.
He was a new cdl grad and he said the company told him to take his dog if he wants to.

Heck, some companies I've been to would require a co-driver to stay outside of the plant, not to mention a pet. If the plant has a disaster everyone inside the gate is a major lawsuit liability.

Food grade have their own issues with pets. Only way I see it being allowed would be a private company hauling its own product to the same customers dedicated

If people had to clean the truck after a pet was in it. Let me just say, bought a truck. It looked clean, but hair floated around in that truck. Never did get it all out. Even took off the carpet and trim out of it. Dash and behind stuff was full of hair.
The owner told me he hauled his dog in it 2 years. No smell and cab was clean. But always hair floating around.
Would rather have one that had 3 packs per day smoked in it.

Cc cob, no pets. I asked in orientation, he said I could get a snake and only a snake.

I think a pet is the best possible accessory for doing OTR. I did it one year without my pet and 2 years with my pet. Tanker seems to be the least pet-friendly section of trucking.

The customers in tanker are so varied in how they load or unload unlike dry van and flatbed. Some tanker customers do EVERYTHING while you sit in the truck. Some customers do EVERYTHING while you sit in the break room. Some customer do NOTHING and you do it all. Some customers have you in and out in 90 minutes. Some customers, like the last one, had me hooked up and waiting for over 34 hours. Good luck trying to sneak even a teacup Yorkie into a plant that prohibits pets and you sitting in the break room for a day and a half.

I can easily see a driver getting fired for bringing a pet into the wrong customers. You usually will not know what the customer is like until you've been there once.
