How can an attorney dismiss you case?

So the court grants your attorneys motion and dismisses your case?

Then you get a new lawyer, have them file with the court that the previous lawyer is not following your instructions and go from there....

    ReeferRick Thanks this.

    Dismissed my case without prejudice
meaning no longer representing me. Without prejudice meaning I could refile, which I did. And then motioned successfully to arbitration.

    ReeferRick Thanks this.

Your lawyer didn’t dismiss anything, he quit, the court dismissed the case

Not true. But you know more than me. I've lived this a long time and have represented myself since my attorney DISMISSED MY CASE WITHOUT PREJUDICE. The court didn't dismiss it. Like I said, it was motioned to arbitration in the hearing. I stated to the judge..."going to arbitration is like the fox watching the hen house." The process of arbitration used by the Union, which has been able to allow the circumstances to continue for years has obstructed justice. This case proves that point.

The phrase " he who represents himself has a fool for a client" holds true here, a lawyer cannot dismiss your case, only a court can, the lawyer has to present a motion and the court rules on it.

Did you win summary judgement, or did your attorney quit before that? Maybe the attorney quit because they found out about the pre dispute arbitration agreement
