Werner allows trucks to idle only when it's within a certain temperature range. Otherwise the truck shuts off automatically. Unless you get a Volvo(turn on cruise and it stays on) the Pete and Freightliner I drove with the. Couldn't be bypassed, I tried everything. But the Volvo was OK. I wouldn't count on getting one. Not worth the chance.

You won't get an inverter unless you need a cpap machine I. think

You can use a 12v fridge

At the Omaha terminal they actually had real truck fridges in the store. Don't know thst works if you need to switch trucks tho. And the price ain't cheap.

Your recruiter will tell you 1.youll get a inverter and 2.you can idle as much as you want. Both lies.

Believe maybe 10%of what recruiter tells you of any company. Their job is to hook you.

yeah would love to know how you are fortunate enough to have an inverter. That’s all I need and I’d be happy. Enough for a fridge and microwave. Tv and DVD player. That’s all I need man....smh especially I really wouldn’t mind the op idle you talked about either.

well honestly with my truck I'm not sure if I have op Idol or just haven't figured it out yet LOL but as far as I can tell you about the new Kenworth 2018s is what I heard is supposedly they're all supposed to be coming with the 2000 watt inverter or 4000 watt inverter in all trucks and that's the standard package for those trucks and now have the bunk heaters and stuff too and when I was in Dallas a guy got issued a brand new 2018 and it did have an inverter standard in it

Opti idle is crap in my opinion. Especially if your a lite sleeper. I can't imagine how long it would take to get used to sleeping( if at all) through the truck lurching every time it started up.
I've slept next to trucks with opti idle and frankly I'd rather park in between to old Carrier reefers, lol.

and and honestly is what might be a good thing for you to do is if you have Facebook get on the Warner's drivers page there's a few of them and you know press ad and let him know you're thinking about coming to the company and talk to them experience some of the new drivers with the newer trucks and some of the experienced drivers and they can tell you what they have or what they don't have and what to expect cuz a lot of these recruiters don't know their job is just to get people in the drivers is who you really need to talk to
