I would get on the phone and start calling these brokers, they don't care about anything other than finding you the best rate and getting you as a customer. I would do that today or as soon as you can. I know some of the companies you listed in your original post were outrageous in their pricing when I was shopping independently of my normal insurance broker, who will not write me a policy to turn on my authority. Nothing I did, they just got out of writing new policies for cargo and liability as the market is so out of whack.

I know, and it has nothing to do with your skin color. Like I said above, my own broker quit writing these policies, even for guys like myself that used to have cargo and liability with them. I'm well established to with only one claim in twenty some years when some idiot backed into my tractor at a dock.fordconvert Thanks this.

Idk man 12k is really good 48states. In Georgia its over 13k intrastate. But naw it ain't got nothing to do with demographics.
Maybe this why the best solution is moving to new Hampshire. -
I would still call around, Great American and Great West are two of the least expensive insurance outfits I have found out here. I bet one of those guys could help you out.
-
I used Great American with fine results.

No i think i will take the 3k bobtail an lease my equipment on with somebody who will pay the 30-40k premium. At least until things are back normal.
Justrucking2 Thanks this. -
Mine was 16.5k only cause it's progressive.
My guys say it's just a trend an it will pass. Hopefully they right. Because if they ain't, it maybe the end to independents in allot of these places.
