Progressive quoted me $12,000 a year for bobtail insurance just three years ago! With a clean driving record!

    BobNWe Thanks this.

Aww man for Bob tail only? Wow. They are one of the only companies quoting new entrants for my new company.

5200 down, 1950 month. Wow it doubled!

I am being dead nuts serious, BOBTAIL on a 2008 International! I about fell over when the guy quoted me that. I told him I was not looking for cargo and liability, but BOBTAIL. he said he knew, and that was their going rate. I hung up on him.

Back in the early 2000's I had bobtail and coverage on two trailers, through Progressive, for $800 a year. I no longer deal with Progressive, for anything.

Me neither. I paid my down payment to progressive (4k) only to get a phone call 2months later telling me I'm cancelled due to policy changes. Progressive say they are stopping the payments an requiring full premium up front.

Basically said i have 35days to pay 12k or find new insurance. 2013

Yep, I believe that... The reason I lease to a carrier, no way I am going to pay that kind of money to run my own freight. And my stuff is paid for. It is not only you Bob, or your locale. ;-)

Im just joining the Party here, and Im not gonna read the back n Forth between you 2, Other than the fact I See $12k per year.

Ive Hovered Between $4,900- $5800 Per year every year for the Last 10 years or so.

Why Are your rates so High? Other than a City (Cause Im in Chicago) Theres other Factors Here.

    BobNWe and Justrucking2 Thank this.
