I've been driving a 2016 KW T680 for a few months now, I've installed my own Cobra 29 LTD Chrome in it (stock). The tractor still has it's stock mirror mounted dual antennas. I've noticed how poor my range is mostly when it comes to receiving, any suggestions on a pair of antennas that would work well with my radio. Maybe even a 45 degree swivel mount would help as well?

81 inch center load or top load antenna would be perfect for that truck. Easy to build your own with a tap and die set.

I’ve got the same truck and my uniden bearcat has poor reception. Nobody can hear me after they get about 200 yards away. Stock setup. I put it in straight out of the box and never had anyone tune it or anything. So I’m also interested in this topic.

The mount above is exactly what I would use, If your pulling a tanker I would use a single 5.5 foot Francis antenna, With a dry or refer I would use the same antenna but one on each mirror, Use decent coax or phasing (on 2 antennas) harness.

second use a good noise cancelling mic, I use an Astatic 636L , with a good external speaker.

I think overtime, my favorite antennas were my Hustler Beer cans back in the 70's.

I have the same mic... works great, I get compliments on the sound. I pull a dry van so thanks for the advice on dual antennas
