Soon as you purchase a modern truck you will find out how hard it is if you can't make repairs yourself. But life lessons are not easily learned. I apologized so please shut your mouth when referring to me.

Like I said, shut the hell up and move on. I deal with enough idiots already, don't need anymore.

    Are we clear?

Ok, so having had the chance to deal with the riff raff and grab a bite to eat...which improved my mood considerably...we can move on to the day's events.

First @PPDCT the weather is bugging me. Left Gadsden, AL this morning it was a nice, slightly humid 57. I'm in Kingdom City, MO and it's a windy 24 and falling like a brick. Snow inbound. So, conditions are deteriorating.

Since the truck had sat for so long, I decided to lay a dose of Howes on this tank full and work her hard over the hills of Tennessee and Kentucky. Noticed some slight smoke from the exhaust. Slight being a euphemism for, "Holy ####, I'm laying a smoke screen." One driver came over the CB to tell me I'd just blown the engine. After the smoke cleared this girl really came to life. Fuel mileage, on the instant gauge skyrocketed 2.3 mpg almost immediately and she just ran all around better and she was running pretty dang good before. Over the course of the day's 618 miles the fuel mileage continued to improve. I'm waiting until tomorrow to refill at the yard, but I expect my mileage to come in in the high 7's with a 42k load and a fair amount of pulling.

Pretty uneventful other than that, just a good days drive. No preplan yet, which is unusual , but we'll certainly be reloaded with something tomorrow .

Hope y'all's day was as good as mine.

    More later...
