Lots of our new trucks we move the seat back 6-8inches and put on a low rise seat base. Some are so ridiculous I can barely reach to split gears cause the shifter is scraping the headliner. That being said they are comfy as hell on the road. Just driving around the city is a little scary until you get used to the spacial awareness. I had one pic of me in a customers truck with the drivers door open and all you can see are my legs on the floor.
What's with these guys?

If you don't ride low...how you gonna see anything??
-
I’ve always rode with no air in my seat since I started driving. Bouncing up and down annoys me.
I don’t know how it would be harder to drive. You can see the mirrors fine.
Some co workers ride with it all the way up and their head hitting the ceiling. Lol whatever works for you.Dan.S Thanks this. -
I did ride with no air for a long time, but I have just enough to keep the hard bumps from going up my spine.

I'm in a 2012 Coronado with the seat all the way down. I can see everything including the front of my hood. With the mirrors adjusted properly I can see everything a person with air in the seat can.
My reason for it. I am a local driver hauling garbage/recycling and food waste. Therefore I am in and out of the cab all day long, it's annoying if the seat is aired up getting in and out. Also if you hit a bump hard enough with air in the seat (I also do off-road) and it bottoms out on the floor, it hurts. So removing the air eliminates this even happening. No cool factor here, just being practical for my needs.
Like others said. Don't worry about how the guy beside you sits. All the matters is how you sit in YOUR truck and that it works for YOU. I don't understand how guys drive that have so much air in the seat that you can see their body completely, but if that is what makes them comfortable then all the power to them.
Now when I used to be a highway driver, and not in and out of the truck frequently I rode with air the in the seat. Because it was mostly highway driving all the way until the 1 destination to deliver or pickup a load. Heck, sometimes I even went a little crazy and unlocked the seats horizontal forward/reverse motion. Although this option made the clutch a little more tricky, cause when you pressed down on the pedal it pushed the seat back making for a longer reach lolDino soar, Grubby, 48Packard and 1 other person Thank this. -
I slip seat with a guy who rides with the seat all the way up. Me, all the way down.
BigBob410 Thanks this. -
Oh yeah, I forgot how annoying it is to get in and out all the time with air in the seat. Come back and the seat is up to the steering wheel.

Hey! That's me in that picture lol... -
They call it “looking cool on your stool” I think they look like idiots. Why even have an air ride seat in the truck if your going to sit it all the way on the floor, kinda defeats the purpose of having an air ride seat in the truck. Just put a milk crate on the floor.

Not sure about that guy. But the unsafe drivers I see drive almost brand new corporate trucks for the mega company's. If its a new truck watch outBig_D409 Thanks this.
