- Why are you driving while "stupid tired"?
- Since when is being "stupid tired" an excuse for any mental deficiency related to operation of a CMV?
- I thought HOS rules and eLogs were supposed to stop these types of events (stupid tired related) from ever happening again.

I like to run my tandems all the way back, because I like the way it looks.

Not.jammer910Z Thanks this. -
I was giving OP the benefit of a doubt. I didn't think an experienced driver would knowingly run a 53 with the tandems to the rear unless he was heavy. I was wrong.Broke Down 69 and KillingTime Thank this.

I run as far back as I can, while keeping the weights balanced (and legal). I hate overhang while backing.racemaxx24 and TripleSix Thank this.

@king v - you drive for swift or something you can't run any wear stretched out unless your loaded and that's were the cat scale said you were legal I'd be getting a a lawyer moving violation I think don't quote me on that!!!

See it every week, someone dragging an empty back to somewhere with the tandem all the back. Lazy mofos need a kick in the pants!

Broke Down 69, jammer910Z and TripleSix Thank this. -
I wasn't going to say that. He knows his 'tired' excuse was lame.
Btw, any of you van drivers that have to drop and hook preloaded trailers, you may want to invest in a STA RAT if you haven't. They work and they work well.Broke Down 69 and Hammer166 Thank this. -
Weight isn't a factor. Overlength is overlength.

Its advice for the future. Police officer's cheat and make up stuff. DOT included. I can tell you from at least half of my inspections that the officer didn't know anymore than a rookie that just got his class A license

Sadly, this is true far too often. It's why drivers should know the book well enough to be able to flip to relevant sections. Showing them where they're mistaken doesn't always work, but it's far less antagonistic than calling them a #######.
Broke Down 69, Pedigreed Bulldog, 6wheeler and 1 other person Thank this.
