I've schooled more than a few cops on the side of the road...usually related to an exemption I'm using that they don't realize exists.

 

I also believe Georgia has no kingpin law. I pull a 53' dd with tandems fixed to the rear, if all trailers were like mine the truck stop carnage would be unbelievable.

The regs excuse the driver from responsibility for weight violations when they hook a preloaded trailer. Especially a sealed one.

 

He could have put you OOS for driving sick.
