What's more fun than 1 tire blowout? 2 tires blowing out!!

Breakdown just loves us today. Out in the middle of rural Kansas we have a tire blowout on the trailer. Call breakdown and wait 2 hours for roadside to fix us up.

Get 60 miles down the road and have another tire blowout. This one however took out our mudflap and mudflap bracket. So here we sit on the side of us-54 waiting for the same guy to be sent back out for us.

I've had a few that looked like that. By the time I drove another 100 miles that old tire was gone.

CRST has come and gone, since as of today I am no longer with them. This had nothing to do with the pay or hometime but rather getting time off for a dental appointment. My wisdom teeth started hurting bad while out on the road which required me to live off of pain meds to keep on driving. CRST made it hard for me to take off so I had no choice but to leave them behind since I cant drive safely down the road drugged up or in pain.

My next venture has lead me to Schneider. I live in range of their tanker division and have a phone interview set up for Monday. Will be having me teeth pulled first week of December so orientation will have to be near the end so I can be well rested and healed up to go.

There is a local tanker company willing to train me but I do not know if they would offer the same training as Schneider. Company is Dillon Transport out of San Antonio, TX for a local home everyday 12-hour shift kind of job.

Again CRST Dedicated is not bad. They like all companies lied about a few things but was always home when requested( as long as it was 10 days in advance ) made ~$700/week take home each week.

    Lies:

    1. Say's weekly hometime but really bi-weekly.
2.100% drop and hook really 95%. Went to a few small CAT dedicated suppliers that were live loads
    3. Distribution center to Distribution center. Not so much. Like #2 some of the cat facilities are small warehouses and they will have you take a Expedited load ever so often which is live load/unload.

If it was not so hard to get off when I really need it I would still be with them right now. My pay was .41 cents per mile at the end of my employment.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

I thought they were paying you .48 cpm? Why was it .41 cpm by the end? Thinking of driving this account...
    Thanks

The account pays different depending on where you live. Cali and Penn drivers on the Cat account get a bit more. Also the per diem took a few cents off what I was offered. The other missing amount was from experience. What I was offered was if I had 2 years experience but I only had one. Was told this after showing up. Should of took a pic of the account pay sheet. When you get hired they will have you sign a pay sheet showing what you will make and the increases at the different experience levels and your hire on bonus if you got one.

If you have 3 years experience and your doubles endorsement CRST has a account where you shuttle YRC pup trailers cross country for .51 cents. I know this since a guy in my hire group got on it and showed me a picture of his pay sheet. No experience in hauling doubles needed since you will learn as you go as they put it.

    This is interesting.
Got a friend of mine going to run teams with his wife. He has a lot of driving experience, so they made a deal with them. He can train her as they team together. Good Pay to. And it's on this Dedicated Cat run.
I looked into a regional run they had 5 days a week. But, after running the numbers it just wouldn't pay as well as what I'm currently doing.
