As long as the welds hold and scully system works I suppose. Out here in CA the roads are really tuff on equipmet so usualy lots of rewelds need to be done.

Cali Kid you still hauling gasoline? I've been gone awhile with medical problems. My kidneys failed and ended up in the hospital for a while. For the first two days was touch and go and I did code blue twice. They tell me code blue is when someone is dead. But with dialysis for a day and a couple of fresh pints of blood I was kicking like a mule. It's still been a long road back but I'm glad to be here. So I have been gone for awhile and I'm slowly getting back in to it.

Yeah, now I remember. I do know that you were one of the better gas haulers out there. However, I do think it's wise to look for better driving jobs because gasoline aint what it use to be. I believe that it will cycle around again after the companies have their fair share of spill, fires, and accidents. Thanks for warm return.

I believe you are right, after talking to a 20+yr ARCO driver he said its the worst he's ever seen it. He said they are cutting out o.t. as much as possible but at a price. They will hire those that even the commons will not hire. I believe this is because now the c.c. have the upper hand and are charging big rates to the majors for their service.

We do too. The tanks were built back in the mid 60’s but they have been refurbished several times some even have new air ride suspension and disc brakes.
As long as the steel tank can pass inspection it should last forever

Matlack would re-build a good barrel with updated hard wear and running gear. I used to show one to trainees.. MC 303 built in 1963 and 50 years later it looked like a new trailer after the re-fit
