Haven't dealt with them directly, but have been around them some. Have never heard any real horror stories from any of the drivers. I am not into refer's so I have never considered them. They seem like they are on the level from what little I have been around them.

    Hambone45 Thanks this.

Refrigerated, pay by percentage, and I have heard their average is around 60k per year and get back every week. They have or had a satellite terminal in W VA. I don't see them speeding at all.

They hire around both terminals from what I was told. I applied when I started driving but I lived 5 hours away. The newest trucks I had been seeing were 386 Petes, they used to have Freightliners and then switched almost completely to Volvo, they still have quite a few Volvos.

Never worked for them but know alot of guys who do.New equipment, spec`d out nice, decent pay and bonus plan. They have a bonus for idling and running below 65mph,not sure of particulars.
Had a good friend seriously injured while washing there truck at home because he wanted to.The owner paid him every week until he was able to return to work several months later. The company didn`t have to do that,as he wasn`t expected to wash his truck.Owner sent him a nice letter assuring hin he would always have a job as long as he wanted even if he couldn`t drive.
After years of seeing drivers take a screwing I was,and still am impressed with Van Wyk.I don`t think I would work for them, but thats on me ,not them.I would have to say they would be a good company to work for.

Hey thanx rjones56 for the info. I appreciate it very much. I called them and filled out an app online, but they stated they had nothing available at the moment. The way i look at it,if a company has no openings, that tells me the company must be pretty good to work for, anyway thats the way i look at it.Thanks guys for the info.
