My wife is sooo much smarter than me. She is convinced that I'm overreacting because my truck is coming. She feels that I am annoyed at things that wouldn't normally bother me. She's probably right. I married her for a reason. She keeps me in line.Airmech, Vic Firth, FalconsFan21 and 1 other person Thank this.

Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak, makes everything else seem like a root canal without Novicaine.
You've been busting your ### to get to where you want to be for close to what, 2 years now? The closer it gets, the harder it is to deal with everything between you and it. It drains you fast, both mentally and physically.... You just want it to be over and on to the prize, the next step.
So yeah, I would agree with your better half in the grand scheme of things. But still, sounds like this sums up your last couple days
Vic Firth, Steelersjunkie and Gremlin304 Thank this. -
Yeah, pretty much 2 years. I wasn't planning on being a truck driver as part of the plan, but it's been awesome. I went to the MATS show in 2016 with my dad to help set up our future. As soon as I sat in the driver's seat of a truck, it was all over. No regrets, I love this crazy life. Best job I ever had, bar none.Airmech, Lonesome and Aamcotrans Thank this.

That song title happens to be a quote from one of my top 5 favorite movies. I'm quite sure you already know the movie because you're a smart guy and you're twisted like me. "Save me from hell." That was one of the most chilling lines in that movie. Great taste, sir.

Off the top of my head I can only place it from Event Horizon, but i don't remember thinking that movie was really twisted.
I will have to give it deeper thought in the morning.Steelersjunkie Thanks this. -
Yup, Event Horizon. And that movie was twisted, at least from my perspective. But I love it. It's one of the only semi-modern horror movies that still affects me enough to have nightmares about. And by the way, I thrive on nightmares. I love 'em. Those are my favorite dreams.dhellmer Thanks this.

If those are your favorite dreams I'll send you mind, lord knows I don't want 'em. Spent last night dreaming about work and guilt over not being out when I had the ability to be. All sorts of bad #### was happening in them. Taking care of relatives took center stage when the opportunity arose but still feel guilty about it I guess
I will have to watch it again. Has to be a good 10 years since I saw it last and you know time dulls the memory of things sometimesSteelersjunkie Thanks this.
