Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I lease 2 of my for trucks through TPG (Taylor) started with one truck lease through them it has been very good to me but your not gonna walk in of the street and get a lease get a job with them and work your butt of and you can do well but you will be tired and dirty and able to throw chains with the best
I am not gonna post the income but lets just say I pick up the O/O mags most of the time so I can have a good laugh at how the talk folks into working for nothing as one of my trucks make twice the revenue that they spend time bragging about in print
If you are a steering wheel holder it will just kick your butt as the oil patch room for those -
You working the patch?
Mike -
Yep, that is the 07 Volvo. And thank God I paid it off! Or I would be walking right now.
Mike -
Yep it is where the $$ are
-
I know, wish I was closer. Used to work the pipe line in Alaska, and only two companies drilling in Michigan. Not much work here. And wifey poo would not like me skipping out to go back to the patch. Though I would like too.
So how you guys doing? I heard that quite a few outfits are stacking out rigs up there since oil is falling. Any truth to that? Or is it a typical lazy winter up there. Assuming that you are in Wyoming.
Mike -
I Did It. Dont Do It. You dont make any more money. You may think that you are until Uncle Sam comes knocking on your door to take your house. You dont make any more money and you dont have medical insurance. There are alot of negative to leasing a truck and the only positive is that you can tell everyone that you are a owner operator. Dont do it. Dont do it. Dont do it. If you cant make it as a company driver then you absolutely will not make it as a owner op. ............Peace.
2fuzy Thanks this. -
No never a lazy winter just a few months of hell
trying to read the tea leaves in the oil biz is crazy right now it was pretty stable until oil shot thru the roof and now its headed to the basement and still just as crazy if you know about the patch this will make you go Huh I am hauling oil 650 miles at a shot now as many as I can crank out
two years ago a 100 miles was a long haul -
Yep, I know the reading the tea leaves, and God only knows the answer. Glad to hear someone is doing good out here right now. And I know that every penny is being earned. Just wish I was a little closer... I would by you a beer!
Mike -
yes I feel very lucky at the moment with things the way they are now I see so many loseing it all
and greedy bankers killing those that would otherwise be fine
also feel a bit bad when I buy a truck from those that are down at the moment
