As soon as you release the key preacher is on air. Nothing will stop them.
Past sunday I-40 near Santa Rosa. Lot of accidents. PPL use CB to warn where is on the right or on the left. Of course immediately one start whining about foreigners, Trump, megadrivers, English and all this crap . Only one option to avoid him is turn radio off.

It would be interesting to know how many of those guys piling up one-after-the-other in the snowstorm used to say something like, "I don't have a CB and don't need a CB and I've been driving for 30 years with a perfect record without a CB."

It's true, nobody needs a CB. Until they do.

That would be wonderful as long as everbody behaved. Somebody could slam on their brakes on the other side of the highway and send people across the median into your path.

With all due respect I choose not to drive with blinders on.

Proper following distance buys you time, the greater the space between you the better your vision, and more time you have to handle the on coming traffic.

If it's any consolation, there's a guy down on Interstate 10 that just got his installation done in his personal vehicle that will be the first to let you know of any traffic conditions if you happen to be down that way.
