FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

So today has been one of those days we all come across occasionally. I had a 1300 delivery today at a third party grocery DC for Kroger in Tennessee, (this is only the 2nd time I’ve delivered to a grocery DC since being here) I got there lastnight and stayed in the drop lot so I wouldn’t have to start my clock. About 0930 they called and put me in a door, and I was out of there before my actual appointment time.

My next load I’m picking up is 57 miles away in Calhoun, Ga., but doesn’t load until 2200. Needless to say I was frustrated about the wasted day, so I sent my DM a message asking if I qualified for a layover or lost days pay. No fuss, no muss $250 approved for my lack of productivity today.

If you run regional, I have no clue. I run on the long haul fleet, and my average length of haul is about 1250 miles.

 

My trailer finally got loaded about 2300 lastnight, I rolled out about 0300. This load goes to Des Moines, Iowa for a delivery tomorrow morning. I will reload 7 miles away with a short hop back to Nebraska, so I can get my truck in for a service.
