In my personal opinion, I'd put Averitt Express at the top of the pursuit list.
And Burky is right. Toss Prime and CR England. The rest is my personal opinion...
McElroy and CT are bottom in terms of expected pay.
TMC is slipping up the complaint line more and more each month.
That leaves Colonial Freight and HO Wolding.
I'm assuming that you are not to far from me, and are located in the east Tennessee area.
Colonial has some safety issues, but are otherwise a decent company. You could do worse...
But, if Averitt falls through for some reason, and with a military background, it will not likely do so, HO Wolding's dedicated operation in Kingsport, Tennessee is something that I was looking at, at one time. It would be a distant second, but much better than the rest of the bunch.
Averitt Express presents the best, long term possibilities. They have the highest retention rate of the bunch, the best safety record of the bunch, and will pan out with the best pay, if you hang with them long enough.

Hello yall,
I have applied to the following companies for local p/u & delivery. Assuming you had a choice:
Which one would you choose?
Estes express lines, Con-Way southern, Watkins, Roadway, ABF freight & Kenan transport (fuel delivery).
Let me know.
Thanks! -
Those are all good ones',I do like estes, they don't have union and could be a problem down the line. They are all good though.

I would say Schneider out of that list, next would be crst, then pam then usa and at the bottom of the barrel would be werner.

Well Im About To Start Trucking Also I Got Accepted Into Swift But I Deny To Go There...my Family Says They Suck At Training And Alot Of Their Drivers Are Involved In Accidents...i've Verified That Critical Piece Of Information Since Being A Member Here As Well...from What I've Heard Schneider Is Really Really Good During And After Training...other Than Their Trailers Being Pieces Of Crap Everything Else Seems To Be Good...

the bigest complaint i have heard from drivers about the union outfits on your list is you have to start on the extra board and hope you can work your way into a bid run.till then you are pretty much stuck on the 2 hour call list but if you can make it through this period you should do fine havent really heard complaints from drivers on bid runs.you might add usf holland to your list from what i hear they are supposed to be a good outfit to work for
