Hiya Folks,
Does anybody have any info on Cypress truck lines out of Jacksonville, Fla? I know they are flatbed. I figured they might be a good bet getting a job in Florida. Any info, good or bad, would be appreciated. Thanks.

Depends on who you talk too. A friend is leaving them to go to US Express. He has a midroof freightliner FLD with 941K. They are equiping their trailers and trucks with super singles for better mileage. He avearages 2400 miles a week. It could be worse and it could be better.

Working for Cypress has the good and bad. I have posted before and you can read those. Since then, they have messed with a buddy's safety bonus, he took one day to many personal and they took his WHOLE safety bonus. They have told several drivers NO rasies till the economy gets better. So ....I get miles, but my buddy is sitting at home right now. They are suppose to be family oriented but they treat the drivers like the enemy. They cry poor mouth, but they continue to hire drivers left and right. They don't seem to appreciate the good drivers, but with all that said I have a job and I am getting miles, so till things get better, I am staying.
If you have a specific questions, just let me know -

It just seems there are good and bad about any company I guess. Like what has been said, it is who you talk to. The extremes is what gets to me. If someone says negative things about the company, it is really negative. Positives seem to be few and far between. It just seems it is tough for a new guy to find training and catch on with a decent company in the beginning. I've read alot about most big companies don't hire out of Florida. And I agree with their reasoning. That's why I started to look at some Florida based companies. I have been researching Cypress and some others. I'm just trying to keep an open mind about things and getting all the info I can. I appreciate all opinions. After all, you guys know first hand about it. Thanks again.
