Interesting. How does it get put in a silo then or do they not use silo's with frac sand?

there are a variety of machines that can transfer the sand...we used to do 20 ft containers full of styrene resin in a bag. Had an old Hendricks tractor with a Bartlett high lift, stood the container up almost vertical while the machine sucked the plastic out and blew it into railcars for later transloading...

In the frac world, they are talking about these, when they say sand box. It's a small container essentially.

Ok that makes perfect sense. I was kinda scratching my head going da frac. We dont have oil fields up here in the northwest so its cool seeing new stuff.

The pods that hold about1500 lbs, they use those here in LA at the foundrys.
