Well that’s his choice . 2 weeks paid at home , good man .

Some people want to make as much money as they can.
He wanted 1 day home every 3 weeks and $100k+ a year.
I put it in writing and he's getting it.
If he wanted more time off he wouldn't earn as much, that simple.bigbyrc Thanks this. -
Wow, opened my perspective more. More people need to watch his video and read his book. It is disgusting and infuriating how deeply messed up and filled with BS the trucking industry is under the surface. Thanks everyone for the helpLast edited: Dec 29, 2017

Not all leases are bad. .96cpm however is bad. Even with a paid off truck .96 is a horrible rate. I have always been a fan of a good lease, but that's a hard thing to find.
Looking at my last settlement I am pulling for $2.96 per mile. The deals are out there. Keep looking.poppapump1332 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info that you and several others posted. Unfortunately the same advice keeps being given out " keep looking" or "do your research " which I am doing whether I obtain a Truck or not. But the only real way I know how to get the honest truth is to keep reading from members on here and figuring out which ones are on the ball and which ones aren't. A ton of the ones who talk like they've got it all figured out are time after time shown to be wrong and start over again somewhere else. I don't think that some of them will EVER figure out the important things about a business transaction like leasing/purchasing/buying a Truck. I'm not bashing them, I'm certainly not a financial miracle story myself and I don't want to seem like I'm condemning anyone. I'm not. But the fact remains that some people who post and dole out advice are woefully inadequate to the task. Whether they are a braggart or honestly motivated to help others makes little difference if someone follows the advice straight into the pit. I can understand why people don't want to put up a big neon sign and tell the world all the details about what carrier etc etc etc but it would help if some carriers were on a short list as trustworthy. At this time I only know of three that sound like investing any more time into and I've spent a fair amount of time already. I know that there have to be more than 3 trustworthy carriers. Any list will surely come under attack from someone somewhere but the only 3 that look like pursuing to me are Mag Carriers ( Freight Whipper seems knowledgeable and honest ) Landstar ( only one that I've heard recommended for over 15 years from many different people ) and one that sounds like it might be a good place for reasons besides the money, Fremont Contract Carriers. I would really like to know about some other carriers that you would recommend. There are some people on here that I've learned to listen to and some don't have a clue, but sure think they do. I know of two that will NOT shut up and are about as smart and informed as a tree stump. Any additions to the short list is welcome. Sorry if I hijacked your thread Sir.Maj. Jackhole Thanks this.

freightwipper, Is this with your own truck? Do you pay OOP for anything that would be included with a lease; permits, insurance, fuel??

I tried to tell them that they're getting screwed big time .96cpm to pull a reefer is a joke.
