Hey Guys & Ladies,
What power setting do I need to run on this radio? I have it set on 12 o"clock and receive great audio reports. The radio has been tuned and setup by Fine Tune CB Shop. I don't run a amplifier and my antenna is a Wilson 5000 magnetic mount antenna.

I run the power on my Stryker in consideration of my surroundings and intent. If you are in a crowded truck stop and dont want to blow people away, dial back the power. If you're on the open road you might want to crank it up a bit
-
What power setting do you run your's? 12pm, 1pm or etc? Just trying to see where everyone else is running they're Stryker radios at.
-
I usually run mine about 12 o'clock most of the time and near wide open out on the open road715 Thanks this.

I'll give that a try when I am out on the road to see if I can reach out and talk to someone in skipland on channel 28 or local/down the road.

Turn everything all the way up and then go inside and turn the modulation pot all the way up. Then you will be a super-trucker...
-
Lol. I'll pass on the going inside of the radio and turning the modulation pot all the way up.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

I'd run It Wide Open. Mike gain wide open and RF power wide open.
-
I have the mic gain set on twelve o'clock position and running the RF power wide open as I did earlier today and a guy in San Fransisco, California told me I sounded good (Channel 19) and a local also on Channel 19 told me I sounded great. If I run the mic gain all the way up would I sound garble or distorted?
Also the HIC should I leave it off or turn it on? I have ANL on.Last edited: Feb 17, 2018

The tune on that radio is idiot proof. You can turn the knobs any way you like and you'll never sound distorted or garbled.
