I welded a set of d-rings on top of my neck about where my jeep axle sits then I run a chain thru them hooking each end around the axle of the jeep and put a binder in the middle on top of the neck. It helps if your trailer is hydraulic you can set the deck on the gourd and get the back of the neck as close to the jeep as possible before chaining then just pick the whole setup up and drive off. Sorry if this is kind of convoluted, I've got a head cold and my thinking is wonky.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
If the neck has holes in the web you can go thru them as well, I like to chain directly to the jeep axle to keep the airbags from extending be sure to dump the air first.

very much appreciated...

you can also run the jeep tires up onto blocks before lowering the trailer hydraulics and chaining to give you extra clearance.kylefitzy Thanks this.

good idea... thanks

They aren't impossible to back up at all.Its actually quite easy...I used to back into parking spots all the time with a quad axle trailer...including blindside
Now I run a 10 axle setup...so 3 pivot points with the booster....now that's next to impossible to back due to not being able to move the front of the trailer fast enough to keep up with the boosterLast edited: Feb 18, 2018

I didn't say they were impossible I said they were next to impossible, a good hand can back them up but it's not easy to do. You should lock your booster then you wouldn't have to try and keep up with it, just be sure you take the weight off of it first.

Yea I lock the booster with the air dropped doing a straight back when loaded...usually into a ditch to re-shim to adjust my weights.Oxbow Thanks this.

That's what I hate about shim type boosters give me a nitro booster or better yet a west coast beam.Oxbow Thanks this.
