Gee, being called out on my own thread. That's never happened (Only a million times). Hope you aren't expecting praise or an apology. You might know a few things, but you haven't put the rubber to the road yet and tried to move forward. I have. Hope it works out for you.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

I’m not sure what crawled up your arse, but I don’t remember ever asking for your praise, nor acceptance. I also do not see where I called you out.
I have texted you for your advice and knowledge, don’t recall once where I ever refuted what you said..
The opinion of others means very little to me.
The only issue I can see you have is the interest rate available to me. I earned that through desert storm and excellent credit history, gives me a leg up, I figure I earned that.
    Good luck in your adventures

Well, I see the writing on the wall, and it's time. I'm not one for long goodbyes and sappy departures. Love you guys, always will. I am very close to moving on. Less than a week away from being accepted by a broker portal company and I have a line on 3 different trucks. I'll miss this company, because Millis is awesome. I'll miss the folks I've met here. If you have my number, feel free to call. I'll check my messages here from time to time. Good luck with everything, I hope y'all do well. It's been real. Peace.

It isn't likely that I'll post anything here. It's a guarantee that I won't post anything about what I'm doing from here on out. O/O's are understandably secretive about what they do, hence the reason it's hard to find help getting started. Adding people to the pool means subtracting from the potential money made. Hopefully you'll understand my unwillingness to do so.

I'll happily send you a pm with my number. I'm glad that you can't get my sign-off out of your head. ALWAYS check your pins. There are a lot of psychos out there.

I wish you the best of luck. I have some advice I hope you'll listen to.
    1. Put 10-15% of you're gross not net into a bank account for taxes the government wants her money and she will take it and more if you won't give it.
    2. Setup a second bank account for maintenance I recommend another 10% of gross not net. Not doing this is what ends the dream for many owner operators.
    3. It costs about a dollar a mile to operate a truck don't pull cheap freight that only pays 1.20-1.50 a mile you'll be working so hard just to make 50-60k.
And with that I hope you'll be successful. What kind of truck are you getting? New or used when you figure in downtime and repairs they cost the same.

Also if the carrier you plan to lease to doesn't offer at least 10% off the price of fuel than get yourself a nastc card. They are good and I believe they even have a tire program. I haven't used their tire program but heard it's good. Good luck and let us see the truck if you would. Don't have to be pretty to make money.

I'm getting 100% of the fsc, and I'm getting additional discounts through Pilot/Flying J on top of that. I'm putting aside 20cpm for maintenance. I'll probably never touch it except for pm's and greasing. Maybe an occasional tire. As soon as my truck is 3 years old, getting a new one. I've learned a lot by listening to intelligent O/O's. So now I just have to practice what they taught me :)
